If you were starting an NFL franchise, what current players would be your first five picks to build

current players only, these players had to have played the 2007 season. would love some insight into why each player was chosen, are you going for offensive "greatest show on earf", defensive juggernaut, balanced team.

If you were starting an NFL franchise, what current players would be your first five picks to build around?nba 2k7

Chuck norris would be my first 5

If you were starting an NFL franchise, what current players would be your first five picks to build around?nba rules ,nba teams

My first 5 would be.......

Tom Brady

Andre Johnson

Brian Urlacer

Craig Steltz (LSU DEF Back)

Adrain Peterson

Thats what i go with
1. Peyton Manning- leader and quality starter every year

2. Brian Urlacher- leader and gives defense identity

3. Ed Reed- all around great player, on defense and special teams

4. Brian Westbrook- one man offense

5. Joe Thomas- young and strong leader, already is a presence as rookie
Easy one, take the 5 best Offensive linemen in the game and that is where you start building a team around. OL and DL are the most important positions to build a long term quality team.
Vince Young

L Tomlinson

Randy Moss

Steve Smith

Mario Williams
joey harrington

charles rogers

mike williams

jeff bakus

roy williams

that sounds like it would work, right? i mean no team has the balls to pull this one off.
brady, bush, merriman, moss, and larry johnson
Brady, Moss, Westbrook, Demico Ryans, Asante Samuel, balance I guess
1. Peyton Manning - tossup with Brady but I'll take Manning

2. Walter Jones - could have went younger but no young tackles standout and o-lineman play forever

3. Jamal Williams - dominant d tackle is a must but could be one of a few guys here, I like Jamal best though

4. Patrick Willis - best young mlb in the league

5. Asante Samuel - playmaking corner.

balanced team with a slight lean toward defense.
Tom Brady

Wes Welker

Randy Moss

Mike Vrabel

Kevin Faulk
I think you need offensive and defensive balance to be successful. The most notable positions are the easier to determine but success depends greatly on the less notable offensive linemen, etc. Offensively I think Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, LaDanian Tomlinson and Randy Moss are tops right now. Not sure what defensive players are tops although it appears that Mario Williams (Texans) may prove to be a solid defensive players for the next several years.
Tom Brady

Devin Hester

Adrian Peterson

Albert Haynesworth

Randy Moss
On defense it would be Brian Urlacher simply for the fact that he is always around the ball and an incredibly smart ballplayer. My second defensive pick would be Dwight Freeney, he's just a beast when he's healthy.

On offense it would have to be LT at running back, he's going to be the closest thing to Barry sanders that we get to see in our time.

I would take Braylon Edwards at Cleveland as my WR i feel like he's an up and coming player that's only going to get better.

And for my QB, Jay Cutler of the Denver Broncos. He's a young guy with a lot of talent, given the right situation and a good QB coach he'll be taking somebody to the Superbowl and not as a guest.

Notice the trend of young on offense and older more experienced on D? The only substitution I'd make would be if I couldn't get LT, I would take Adrian Peterson (the one in Minnesota)instead.
brady - because hes in his prime

peterson - hes the best young rb(in 4 years LT will be too old)

Moss - although old, hes just too good

Mario Williams - great young pass rusher

patrick willis - leading nfl tackler, oh yeah and hes a rookie

joe thomas - great young tackle, great pass blocker and improving run blocker

honerable mention - devin hester - only a fool would kick to him.
First I'm going for leadership so for QB I'd take Brady, he's a proven winner and an unsung leader. At LB I'm taking Brian Urlacher. Brady needs a go to reciever so I'd take Ocho Cinco, he's younger and drops less passes than Moss or T.O., At RB I'd take Brian Westbrook, simply because I don't like LT and I'd take Osi Umenyora on the D-Line
