I can almost swear it's no. But Sabastian Janikowski went very high the year he was drafted.

yes jon gruden took sebastian janakowski with the what..17th pick i believe? and a few other kickers have gone in the first round. i belive a total of 3 have gone in the first round. i think the raiders took a kicker as well back in the late 60's or early 70's in the first round as well.
No. Janikowski went in the 1st round to the Raiders, but was not the no.1 draft pick overall.
Well, I believe Kickers should be drafted higher then the 5th or 6th round becuase they score the majority of the Team's points.

ray guy was taken in first round by the raiders , he wasn't the first pick though. 1973. not sure about erxleben for the saints he kicked field goals as well as punted. janikowski was definitely picked n the first round also by the raiders. .

Not #1 overall, but definitely in the 1st round...Janikowski was taken in the 1st by the raiders, and UCLA had a kicker taken by STL Rams back in the 80s...I think Chris Lee. Janikowski still kicks, Lee didnt make it outta preseason.

that is a good question i do not know the answer to!!! but panthers have a great kiker. John Kasey buy the proble is hes getting old and wont be able to kick for much longer and i dont know where we shall fing another great kiker like kasey. he has been with the panthers all the way!
Russell Erxleben was the 11th overall pick by the Saints in 1979. The highest ever for a kicker I believe.
